Amberjax has always been a favorite of mine because of their fresh seafood and great atmosphere. I mean, who wouldn't enjoy eating in the heart of Trinity Groves with the perfect dessert places, Cake Bar and Kate Weiser Chocolate, steps away. But this last experience was beyond fabulous and it was all due to our amazing server.
As usual, my husband and I were out to eat with the kids in tow and this time we brought friends with us, so it wasn't like we were in a hurry to eat and leave. Our sweet server made time to talk to each of the children and ask them questions about themselves. And when my youngest completed his coloring on his paper menu, the server showed him that he could color on the tablecloth. My son thought that was the coolest, and he loved that she took the time to draw pictures with him. It made his day!
Typical Size of Kid's Salmon
My youngest had the kid's salmon. Usually the kid's salmon is quite tiny, but this time it was a good size. Had my older son known, he would not have gotten the adult sized fish tacos. He liked his tacos, but he loves his salmon! I was very happy with the shrimp tacos. I wish I had gotten the french fries instead of the grilled veggies. I always forget how good the french fries are here. Luckily, I was sitting in-between my two boys, so I was able to steal fries from both of them.
Drinks were as good as always as well. I loved my lavender martini and if you are looking for something sweeter, try the hurricane or strawberry margarita.
