Downtown Historic Roanoke is finally getting some "unique dining experiences" just as their town sign claims. Craft and Vine is the newest tasty edition to Roanoke's growing city center. Be prepared to wait or call days in advance if you want weekend reservations. Upscale dining isn't something new to Roanoke, but the limited choices has everyone clamoring to try something new.

Amberjax has always been a favorite of mine because of their fresh seafood and great atmosphere. I mean, who wouldn't enjoy eating in the heart of Trinity Groves with the perfect dessert places, Cake Bar and Kate Weiser Chocolate, steps away. But this last experience was beyond fabulous and it was all due to our amazing server.

Matt's has, by far, the best tasting Mexican food I've ever tasted. My only mistake I ever made here was ordering their Cheeseburger, yes, Cheeseburger. Typically you do not see a burger listed as a choice when out to eat at a Mexican Restaurant, but here it was - and I wanted one. And now I see why it is on the menu. It's a plain but massive burger (not hiding under a mountain of stuff) and it comes topped with lots of cheese. It is one of the best tasting burgers I have ever had. It's so good, I have a difficult time ordering anything else.
